The Affordable Art Wall aims to bring affordable artworks to visitors of Leigh Community Centre, Elm Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, SS9 1SP.
This two year project was run on a voluntary basis, by HanmanMurphy on behalf of Leigh Community Centre for the wider community. Proceeds from the sale of artworks support artists, the development of artworks in Leigh On Sea, and Leigh Community Centre.
Artists, studios, groups and galleries are brought together to provide a continually changing display of artworks to the Community Centre, representing the wide community of individuals and collaborations within the visual arts in Leigh On Sea and beyond. Artists participating in this initiative show their generosity in bringing the best of their work forward for exhibition and purchase to the wider public.
The Affordable Art Wall aims to show professional artists, gallerists, emerging artists and amateurs, brought together by affinity of location. Many of the artworks reflect artists' love of the sea, the local landscape and architecture, as well as travels further afield and subjects of interest to individual artists.
